Human Interleukin-2 (IL-2) is an O-glycosylated, four alpha-helix bundle cytokine that has a potent stimulatory activity for antigen-activated T cells. It is expressed by CD4+ and CD8+ T cells, gamma δ T cells, B cells, dendritic cells, and eosinophils.
Produced by T-cells in response to antigenic or mitogenic stimulation, this protein is required for T-cell proliferation and other activities crucial to the regulation of the immune response.
This protein is supplied in a liquid sterile form.
